Breaking News: We already HAVE big government!
September 23, 2016
The Patriot
Every presidential election, Republican presidential candidates – in the manner of the British Redcoats of the Revolutionary War – march nobly and openly in formation, in an honorable and “principled” fashion, while from the brush and bramble, Democrats pick them off one by one with defamation, innuendo, and outright lies.
Like sheep to the slaughter, Republican candidates obediently fulfill Democrat’s expectations, and thus, continue to lose presidential elections, or squeak out such a close victory, that Democrats claim the election was robbed.
But this year we have an Andrew Jackson for a Republican presidential candidate, and the Democrats just don’t know what to do about it. Hillary is so befuddled by Donald Trump, she is trying to act like an establishment Republican, hoping that strategy will work. But everybody already knows who she is. The “act” just doesn’t fit you Hill, and that’s only a part of why you’re “not up 50 points.”
Even the Republican establishment doesn’t know how to handle Donald Trump. They count on “principled” conservatism to be a thing of intellectual pursuit only; a faux tug-of-war between pretend enemies; something to fuel talk shows and blogs while they pat themselves and each other on the back for being so honorable.
But WE THE PEOPLE recognize the stakes in this year’s election, and we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor (that’s sacred honor, not stupid honor), while establishment types pledge to help each other keep their cushy jobs as politicians, pundits, and Never-Trump talk show hosts.
Those who are aware that Trump is campaigning like a Democrat, but don’t think he will govern as a conservative, fear he’ll just make government bigger. But I have some news for you people: We already have big government! And it’s not going away anytime soon, because there are too many voters who support it. Furthermore, government is so big, and so out-of-control, that it’s going to take government to make government smaller. Try and get your head around that, because that’s just how far “out there” we are.
If you don’t think Trump will govern as a conservative, then just pretend you only have a choice between two Democrat candidates, and vote for the most conservative one. But guaranteed, if Hillary wins this election, the only choices you’ll have in future elections is between the most conservative Socialist or most conservative Communist. And that’s the best case scenario.
