Drivin' Nails in Our Coffin

My parents were big fans of country music, so I grew up around it. When I was a kid I thought Ernest Tubb was singing, "I'm just driving nails in my coffee." Guess I was too young to know what a coffin was.

I remember when I was young, people used to talk about being industrious (as opposed to being idle) being a good thing. I think that's one of the reasons Dems hate Donald Trump so much, because he is the exact opposite of who they are.

At any rate, they have proven they will do anything to keep power. And this is a very good revelation for our country.

Maybe Mr. Ernest Tubb's song would make a good theme song for the Democrats?

Our voters are leaving, we're so lonely
They said that our promises weren't true
So we're impeaching Trump for a pastime
And drivin' nails in our coffin as we do

Now the voters turned us down, they don't want us

After Trump is acquitted and reelected
We'll keep right on singing impeachment blues
