Interesting enough, the liberal media has a dirty little secret too.

Getting Others To Do Your Dirty Work

The greatest argument against the centralization of power is that if you create a centralized control center, you have the potential of evil commandeering that control center. So for those of you who want a benevolent dictator, rather than a system of checks and balances, keep in mind what you are creating. It will come back to bite you.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

I don’t want the government telling me or anyone what we can say, or what we cannot say. This is the whole idea behind freedom of speech and it’s why good people fight for it, even if they don’t like what their opposition is saying. And this is why some oppose freedom of speech and want to use government to shut down anything that disagrees with what they believe, because they know that if they have to enter the arena of persuasion, their arguments will never stand the light of scrutiny.

Freedom of speech is not something our government gives us, but something that we are telling our government it has no legitimate authority to take away. If we give up this right by allowing the centralization of government, speaking our minds will cost us our livelihoods, our freedom, and eventually our lives. History substantiates this. And there are forces that want government to say who speaks, and who cannot speak; what they can say, and what they cannot say. If they succeed, we are back to the dark ages, only it will be much darker this time.

Along with freedom of speech comes one’s freedom not to speak, even when morally, one should. There are many who would never do certain things themselves, but honestly, in the quiet of their hearts, are overjoyed when others do it for them. This is why many Muslims don’t speak out against terrorism, and why some even have celebrations when the name of the prophet is avenged.

Interesting enough, the liberal media has a dirty little secret too. It’s the reason why they always jump to the defense of Islam each time a terrorist act takes place, and the reason why they go crazy trying to find at least a second cousin twice removed from the terrorist that is a member of the tea-party. It’s the reason why these “journalists”/activists say that the real shame is that now there will be a right-winged backlash against Islam.

So what is their dirty little secret? That Islam is an ally in their war against something they hate even more than terrorism. Something they hate even more than free speech. Perhaps the reason why they hate free speech. Christianity.

In our society, Christians put up with others saying "God Damn, Jesus Christ” all day long. But Christians don’t cut peoples’ heads off for saying that. No, usually they are silent, or they try to find out why this person is so bitter against God and his Son, and try to help them. Or, unfortunately (even though the Bible teaches that it is the gentleness of God that leads a person to repentance), the immature or legalistic Christian will lose their temper and tell the person they are “going to hell.” But even at that, telling someone they are going to hell is a long way from getting an AK-47 and shooting them, beheading them, or putting a drill into their heads or the heads of their children.

The truth is, some people hate God. Oh, not the Karl Marx/social gospel god, nor the “kill the infidel” god, nor the “can’t we just all get along” god. But the God who so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son that they might not perish, but have everlasting life. Why such resentment for such love? Because they believe that God is an evil, egotistical, sadistic god, who never lets them have any fun, and makes bad things happen to people. And because of this misconception, they resent that he would send his son to save them from sin and death, neither of which they believe in.

And they really hate the fact that Jesus would have the nerve to say, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the father but by me.” This just irks them something fierce. And then they start arguing about how many roads one can use to get to Chicago. You know, quite honestly, if I were in the middle of a raging river, hanging to a tree, and someone pulled up in a lifeboat and said, "Get in. I’m here to rescue you. I’m it. The first, last, and only rescuer,” I would not be offended, resentful, or blab on about how many roads there are that lead to Chicago. I would not argue or hesitate. I’d get in the damn boat.

I’ve found over the years that, the more unsure people are of their beliefs, the more emotional and defensive they become when their beliefs are challenged. In their hearts they know they are wrong. Thus the facade, their desire to shut others up, and thus their ally in their Islamic “underdog.”

To: Whosoever will may come, God wants to be your Father. He wants to rescue you from the evil of this world and give you citizenship in His Kingdom. The world is going down the drain of sin to a place called death, and He has sent the lifeboat – His son Jesus Christ. (Romans 10:9-10). The message of God and his son Jesus Christ is not a complicated religion, theology, ideology, or philosophy. It is a simple message. Maybe you’ve heard it somewhere before: Come with me if you want to live.
