The Battle of 1619

(To the tune of Johnny Horton's Battle of New Orleans)

In 1619 they took a little trip
In their imagination on their fake-news ship
They didn't do no homework, just made up some silly lines
And came up with a new narrative there at the New York Times

They called us deplorable and we kept a voting
And a whole lot more than there was the time before
Then they called us racists, but we didn't start a runnin
Cause we want a wall on the border of Mexico

Calling us "deplorables" it didn't go so well
And that thing about "racism" it was just another fail
They needed something worse, called it "white supremacy"
And how all that's good in our good land was built by slavery

They called us racists and we kept a voting
And a whole lot more than there was the time before
And white supremacists, but we didn't start a runnin
Cause we want a wall on the border of Mexico

Weeell, they rrraan through the lies and they ran through the slander
And they went places no journalist would ever go
They sunk so low that the floor couldn't stop them
Now they're less credible than a TV tabloid show

Well it's pretty plain to see that the media's melted down
Cause we voted for a winner and we'll fight another round
Yes, in 2020 we will kick some more behind
And we'll get to see a repeat of the libs losing their mind

They keep on lying and we keep on a voting
This time around might even win the pop'lar vote
They've pulled out all the stops, but we won't be a runnin
CAUSE WE NEED THAT WALL ON THE BORDER OF MEXICO!
